The clinic at Chung-Ang University was opened in Seoul in 1968, and has been contributing to the development of Korean medicine for almost half a century. In 2004, the clinic moved to a new beautiful building with a more pleasant atmosphere for the treatment of patients.
In 2009, the largest heavy industry corporation Dusan Group became the main sponsor of Chung-Ang University and the Clinic at Chung-Ang University, thanks to which the clinic received even more opportunities for development and prosperity.
The 15-storey central building of the clinic includes 3 ground floors, the second building of Tajongwan, consisting of 10 floors, is located nearby. The clinic has 845 beds, 23 departments. The number of working staff is about 2000 people, including 130 doctors.
The clinic has the latest medical equipment and a perfect infrastructure for the transmission and preservation of medical information.Specialized centers of the thyroid gland, spine, gastroenterology, and cardiovascular surgery play a particularly leading role in the treatment
of patients, and active support of specialist doctors is constantly provided. Thanks to this, since 2007, for 3 years, the clinic has been awarded the highest rating in the category of "Medical emergency Facility" from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Korea. In 2012, the clinic was awarded the highest award in the field of healthcare and industry of the Republic of Korea, as well as awards in the category "Patient-oriented Management".
In 2011, the clinic opened an international medical department to provide services to foreign patients in using the clinic's services. The coordinators-translators of Russian, Mongolian, and English languages provide translation services from the beginning to the end of treatment.
A national menu is provided especially for hospitalized patients, as well as support with coordinator 1:1. Thanks to the efforts of the international department, the number of patients increased markedly from 2011 to 2012. There is a large flow of patients from Russia and Mongolia.
In 2012, the number of foreign patients who visited the clinic amounted to more than 1,000 people.
